Description

The Mountain Way Common is a 9-acre greenspace in Atlanta, Georgia. It opened in October 2014. This site is a former Department of Transportation bridge overpass lands. Through a transformation project, the area is being used to create a welcoming park. In the future, the park will serve as a gateway to the PATH 400 trail.

The Park is located along Nancy Creek, just off of GA 400. The Park is also close to Phipps Plaza, Lenox Square, and the Tuxedo Festival. For more information on the Park, contact the Parks and Recreation department of the City of Atlanta.

The park includes a multi-use path that is surrounded by decorative panels and planters. Also, there is a sculpture-style swing. Additionally, the Park is home to extensive hiking trails that run past moss-covered historic stone springhouses and challenging hills.
