Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

If you love history, you will not want to miss Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. This park is filled with history, but also offers plenty of activities to keep you busy.

There is no fee to enter the park, but there are some fees for certain areas. The Visitor Center, for example, has an information desk and a bookstore. It is open during the week, but on weekends it is closed. In addition, some non-gated areas have posted closing times.

A shuttle bus is available to take visitors to the top of the mountain. Tickets for the shuttle bus can be purchased at the Visitor Center.

Hiking trails are available. The trails offer scenic views of the mountains and grassy meadows. However, it is important to remember to leave no trace.

Skyline Park

Skyland Park is located off of Buford Highway at Clairmont Avenue. This quaint little park is a family friendly amusement park with a couple of twists. For one, it has a mini golf course that stretches out into the sky. The site also boasts a free fall tower, an airborne obstacle course, and a small but impressive collection of wooded climbing structures. There are also two sand volleyball courts and a dog friendly section. You will not be disappointed in the food and drinks department.

Skyline Park is not for the faint of heart. But if you are willing to give it a try, you’ll be rewarded with an array of fun and funny experiences. Dog parks

A dog park is a great place for your dogs to socialize and get exercise. There are a number of dog parks around Atlanta. Here are a few of them.

Piedmont Park is a three-acre dog park located in Midtown Atlanta. The park features a separate area for large and small dogs, as well as a fenced-in enclosure for smaller pups. It also has benches for dog owners and a playground.

Kirkwood Dog Park is a favorite of many in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta. It is an enclosed dog park with a natural surface of dirt and grass. This is one of the better dog parks in the city.

Freedom Barkway is a community dog park located in the Old Fourth Ward. It has a two-acre dog park, which is fenced in and a separate, small dog section.

Picnic areas

There are a number of reasons to spend a few hours at this Georgia state park. It’s free, well lit, and has a plethora of amenities including a play area, a tennis court, a softball/baseball field, and a dog park. If you’re in the mood for a picnic, you’re in luck. Skyland Park is located in the central part of Brookhaven. Fortunately, it’s a short drive from the Dekalb Peachtree Airport and is close enough to the Georgia Tech campus that you might as well head south for a day on the books.

While you’re here, why not check out the nearby Stone Mountain, which boasts one of the largest dedicated picnic areas in the city. The most impressive thing about Stone Mountain is the fact that you can actually see the Georgia Power dam and lake from the park.

Walking trails

If you’re a family with children, Skyland Trail in Brookhaven, Georgia, offers a wide range of trails for your adventure. You’ll find scenic overlooks, river crossings and steep climbs. The trail also provides plenty of green space and picnic areas.
